Finding beauty in the remote.

I have found peace and beauty deep in the wilderness. After having taken millions of steps in our wilderness areas. It’s something I try to share with you all through the images I take.

I have been hiking consistently since late 2015 and attempted my first thru hike of the Pacific Crest Trail in May of 2017. That season I only made it a quarter of the way to Canada (830 miles over 2 1/2 months) but that journey solidified my love of and comfort on long distance trails. Since, I have completed more than 2,400 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail, thru hiked the entire Wonderland Trail around Mount Rainier in Washington and have also hiked large portions of the Big Foot, Grand Enchantment and Arizona Trails.

In the spring of 2022, I plan to attempt a thru hike of the entire Arizona Trail from Mexico to Utah. Afterwards I plan to head to the Crazy Cook Monument, or the Southern Terminus of the Continental Divide. Sitting on the the US / Mexico Border I will then head north, towards Canada, for one of the countrys’ most rugged, longest and most remote National Scenic Trails.

I grew up on a farm in rural Indiana and am now professional photographer and photo editor based in Los Angeles, California. I attended Columbia College Chicago where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Photography in 2011.
